LIZ JORDAN

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Liz Jordan is the founder and Director of thMTHRshp.  She earned a BA in Art History from the University of Louisville and began her art sales career at the Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts in 2007.  She also worked at the Speed Art Museum during her time in Louisville. In 2012, Liz helped establish the health-sector nonprofit, Girls with Guts, a female-focused resource and community for women diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and living with Ostomies. She served as their Director of Development until 2014 when she turned her focus to literacy support for English as a Second Language students, serving children and adults in the DFW area. From there, she worked with students diagnosed with dyslexia, autism, and ADHD and continued her education by completing Dynamic Mindfulness Training with the Niroga Institute in 2018 to support her students with a trauma-informed approach. In all these endeavors, Liz incorporated the practice and appreciation of art, as it has been a constant source of expression and healing for her.

Liz became a mother in 2018 and was inspired and empowered by her discovery of Motherhood Art and the community surrounding it. After meeting Sarah Creasman Barnett at a neighborhood park with their daughters, Liz and Sarah connected through their shared love of art and their experiences as new moms during the pandemic.

Liz’s experiences serving communities in nonprofits, arts, and education sectors, and her serendipitous meeting with Sarah inspired her to create thMTHRshp as a unique art gallery with social justice and community outreach offerings. Liz and all thMTHRshp artists are working to create the world we want for ourselves, our children, and all those seeking equality.

CHRISTIANNE GREEN

ARTISITIC DIRECTOR & MEDIA MANAGER

Christianne Green is a Founding MTHRshp Artist and mother of two. She received her BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and has experience as a gallerist and in Human Resources and Project Management. Christianne brings her keen eye for design and organizational skills to her role of Artistic Director for thMTHRshp where she manages behind-the-scenes event planning, media opportunities, and co-curates shows with Gallery Director, Liz Jordan.

As an artist, her diverse portfolio features works in oil, watercolor, and archival inks, as well as upholstered furniture and fabrics. Christianne is adept within a variety of styles and subjects ranging from classically realistic portraiture to stylized conceptual art with raw social commentary to sweetly contoured nursery and maternity pieces. Her series Welcome Home explores homelessness, addiction, and domestic abuse via nontraditional watercolors whose images also appear on bespoke upholstered furniture and drapery fabrics. New works focus on highly conceptual installation experiences, primed to have a profound effect on collectors.

Christianne and Liz also originally connected at a neighborhood park with their kids and learned about their shared passion for art and social justice. Christianne joined thMTHRshp collective as an artist where it became clear that her expertise in project management and skills as a curator made her the ideal co-pilot for thMTHRshp. Christianne’s dedication to thMTHRshp’s mission to bring art to all in an inclusive and accessible way is evident and we are so happy to have her aboard!
